A challenge by the former High Court judge, Mr Justice Rory O'Hanlon, to his removal as president of the Law Reform Commission in 1992, will be heard next month. Mr Justice O'Sullivan yesterday fixed June 18th for hearing in the High Court. In proceedings against the Government, the former judge is seeking an order that his removal in April 1992 as president of the Law Reform Commission was unconstitutional. He is also seeking damages for breach of his constitutional right to protection of his good name.
