Nutritional therapist, Gosia Desmond will speak about nutritional strategies to reverse heart disease at public seminars on Friday at 7pm in Griffith College, South Circular Road, Dublin and on Saturday at 6.30pm in the Ambassador Hotel, Cork. Entertainment for the elderly
FRIENDS OF the Elderly is looking for volunteers to sing and play guitar for the elderly in long term hospital wards. People needed for post-stroke study
Researchers at the School of Physiotherapy at Trinity College Dublin are seeking participants for a study that is investigating post stroke fatigue. They are particularly keen to speak with people in Munster.

Entries called for healthcare awards
ALL AREAS of the public and private healthcare sector are invited to enter the Irish Healthcare Awards, organised by the Irish Medical Times.
Categories for entry include best patient education project, best public health initiative, best lifestyle patient education project, Student project of the year, nursing project of the year, and lifetime achievement award.

Two-year course in botanical medicine
MEDICAL HERBALIST, botanist and aromatherapist, Nikki Darrell is running a two-year apprenticeship course on herbal and botanical medicine from her home in Coachford, Co Cork, starting in October.
