The HSE this week began the recruitment process to hire 300 primary care professionals for new primary care teams as part of the reform of primary, community and continuing care.

The additional professionals, including nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, dieticians, counsellors, podiatrists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and social workers, will form primary care teams designed to serve defined population groups (circa 10,000).

St Patrick's Hospital in Dublin is looking for a consultant psychiatrist with special interest in schizophrenia. The post holder will be expected to be involved in treating inpatients, day care outpatients with schizophrenia and providing psycho-educational, psychotherapeutic and rehabilitative facilities for patients and their families (€169,007).

Our Lady's Children Hospital, Crumlin is looking for three senior clinical psychologists (€87,551) and a clinical specialist radiographer in MRI (€55,429).

St James's and Tallaght hospitals are looking for a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in vascular surgery. The category one post will involve eight sessions in Tallaght hospital and eight sessions in St James's. The position comes with a salary of €152,462.

Also in Dublin the position of consultant nephrologist and general physician, shared between Tallaght, St James's and the Coombe hospitals, is on offer (€152,462).

Peamount Hospital in Newcastle, Co Dublin is looking to fill a number of posts including that of senior radiographer (€48,222) and senior grade chartered physiotherapists (€55,859).

The HSE is inviting applications for the role of specialist in public health medicine (€102,735). The HSE is holding a nationwide competition for this post and vacancies will be filled as they arise per HSE area.

The HSE is also looking for a consultant in orthodontics for Sligo General Hospital. The position commands a salary of €164,516.

University College Dublin is inviting applications for the post of professor of paediatrics.
