If you do one thing this week.... Take your yoga on holidays

Holidays are a godsend, but they can mean skipping your regular exercise regime. So if you reckon you will miss your workouts while away from home, why not pack a few yoga classes in your bag?

You’ll find yoga podcasts online and through iTunes, including a free series from the website yogajournal.com that offers a number of instruction sequences, each lasting about 20-30 minutes. All have an audio track and some offer video, too.

So a bit of pre-holiday downloading to a compatible phone, MP3 player, laptop or iPad means you can play a workout wherever you find a free space. Just be sure you check the sequences before you download, or try them to make sure they suit your experience and ability.

There are also various downloadable yoga apps. Be warned, though: sometimes the free versions can be light on content.

Now you just have to make room in the suitcase for a mat.
