Dancing for Birth is an antenatal fitness class to help expectant mothers to prepare for labour and birth in an active class based on Latin, belly dance, African and contemporary dance. A 60-minute free demo class will be held at the City North Hotel in Gormanston, Co Meath on Thursday and Back Street Dance Studio in Swords, Co Dublin, on September 5th. A one-day seminar on tongue tie and its impact on breastfeeding will take place early next month in Dublin. The seminar is aimed at those working in the area of breastfeeding support.

The keynote seaker is Catherine Watson Genna, author of Supporting Sucking Skills in Breastfeeding Infants, who will speak about how to recognise tongue tie as well as discussing her research on infants’ use of their hands during breastfeeding. The seminar runs from 9am to 4pm on September 3rd at All Hallows Conference Centre, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

Teachers, parents and those who work with young people are the targets of next week’s Mandalas in the Classroom course. The course will look at how mandalas can be used in working with young people.
