Health Sector Jobs: The chair of nursing at University College of Cork's school of nursing and midwifery is among the top health jobs on offer this week.

The school is seeking applications for the position of professor of nursing, which commands a salary of between €96,132 and €123,695. The school is also looking for six full-time lecturers. The salary scale for lecturers is €33,068-€77,544.

Other jobs in the academic world on offer at the moment include a senior lecturer in nursing at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). The senior position in RCSI's faculty of nursing and midwifery will involve management, research and development and teaching.

Dublin City University (DCU) is also recruiting staff for its school of nursing. It's seeking applications for the position of senior lecturer in nursing. The position has a salary scale of €68,197-€89,888.

The school is also looking for a lecturer in intellectual disabilities nursing and a lecturer in psychology. Lecturer posts come with a salary between €38,940 and €77,490.

Trinity College's school of psychology is inviting applications for two lectureships. A lectureship in developmental psychology comes with a salary of €33,823-€77,551 and a lectureship in applied psychology has a salary of €32,140-€73,673.

St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin is seeking a senior clinical psychologist for its cancer support centre.

The position commands a salary of €74,485-€87,551 and involves clinical work, teaching and research associated with the care of patients with cancer and malignant haematological conditions.

St Luke's Hospital in Rathgar, Dublin, is seeking a head medical social worker to lead the social work department. The position, which has a salary of €60,329-€74,193, involves the management and development of the department, which provides psychosocial care to cancer patients and their families.

The Adelaide and Meath Hospital in Tallaght, Dublin, is inviting applications for a number of positions including senior occupational therapists, senior speech and language therapists, senior medical scientists and senior clinical nutritionists.

Having secured funding from the Health Research Board, the Irish Cervical Screening Research Consortium is seeking a programme manager and research co-ordinator for a five-year research project which aims to improve the detection and treatment of cervical cancer.
