A Finglas man has pleaded: guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to damaging a 60 year old English woman's Pounds 7,500 car which was destroyed by vandals last year. David Plummer (19), of Barry Ave, Finglas West, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to the Honda car owned by Ms Elizabeth James of Wheelton, England.
Thomas Donohue (20), of Barry Drive, was jailed for three years in December for his role in the offence and for assaulting a garda. Garda John Lynch told the court then that Donohue and Plummer were seen smashing the Honda's windows. The car was also destroyed inside.
Because Ms James had forgotten to notify her insurance company she was travelling to Ireland to visit a sick relative, her claim for the Pounds 7,500 was refused.
