When the case was called his barrister Caroline Biggs BL told Judge Donagh McDonagh Mr Memery was on bail and could be arraigned and she was then asking for the case to be adjourned.

After he pleaded guilty Judge McDonagh adjourned the case to the next sitting of the court and remanded him on continuing bail.

Mr Memery is the only person to be prosecuted by the DPP on foot of the garda investigation into Ms French’s death.
