Greenpeace director freed

London - The executive director of Greenpeace, Lord Melchett, was freed from Norwich Prison last night

London - The executive director of Greenpeace, Lord Melchett, was freed from Norwich Prison last night. He spent a night in jail after being remanded in custody when 28 Greenpeace activists were arrested after the destruction of a field of genetically modified maize on Monday. The case against the protesters is due to be heard again by Norwich magistrates on August 5th.
