The former Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor John Gormley, has been nominated to contest the Dublin South East constituency for the Green Party in the next general election.
Saying that he was under no illusion about the task facing his party, he said Dublin South East was one of the most difficult constituencies, where sitting TDs enjoyed a high profile and would be hard to unseat.
