An eight-year-old girl from Co Waterford died yesterday after sustaining serious head injuries in a fall from a bouncy castle.
The incident happened in the garden of the child's home at Cul na smear, Colligan yesterday evening. She had just celebrated her First Holy Communion.
It is understood the wind shook the bouncy castle causing her to fall out of it and hit the ground.
She was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí are investigating the incident but have described it as a tragic accident.
