Gardaí in Waterford are appealing to witnesses to a fatal road crash yesterday morning.

The collision between a motorcycle and a four-wheeled-drive vehicle occurred on the N25 at Gaulstown in Kilkenny shortly before 8am.

The motorcyclist, Adam Kardys from Scotch Quay, Waterford, was killed.

Mr Kardys was a Polish national and had been living and working in Ireland for three years.

A Garda spokesman said the stretch of the N25 where the crash took place is known as Lisnakill Cross on the Waterford to New Ross Road.
