Gardaí today named five people killed in separate crashes on Irish roads earlier this week.
Finbarr O'Keefe (25) of Castlequarter, Co Limerick, died following in a crash at Friarstown, Grange, Kilmallock on Sunday.
John Pieters (55), of Burford, Oxfordshire, was killed when his motorcycle hit a horse in Co Waterford on Tuesday evening. His female pillion passenger was seriously injured and is being treated in hospital.
Thomas Ronan, of Kilsaran, Castlebellingham, Co Louth, died hours later when his motorbike and a car collided at a crossroads in Dundalk.
The cyclist who was killed when he was hit by a truck on Embankment Road, Tallaght west Dublin, on Tuesday was named as Conor Murphy (41) of the Old Rectory, Lucan, Co Dublin.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
Liam McGrath (32), of Deerpark, Bray, was killed when his car crashed into a parked truck near his home early on Monday morning.
A total of 168 people have died on the State's roads so far this year, eight more than during the same period in 2005.
