Gardaí in Co Cork are investigating a fire at a meat factory in Ballincollig.
The fire broke out at about 4am at Irish Bacon Slicers Ltd in an industrial park in the Innishmore area of the town.
Nobody was injured in the fire which was brought under control by units of Cork City fire brigade. It is understood that thousands of euro of damage was caused.
A Garda spokesman said the scene was being preserved for technical examination and that it was not yet known how the fire began.
