Gardaí have arrested four people in connection with the murder of a man in Tallaght on St Stephen's Day.

Gardaí have arrested four people in connection with the murder of a man in Tallaght on St Stephen's Day.

The four, three men and a woman, were arrested in Tallaght as part of the investigation into the murder of Joseph Cummins (48) from Dunaghmore Crescent in Tallaght.

Mr Cummins died after being shot three times on December 26th.

The four were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and can be detained for up 48 hours, a Garda spokesman said.

A man had appeared before Dublin District Court on December 28th charged with Mr Cummins’s murder. He was remanded in custody.
