A Garda investigation into allegations of child sexual and physical abuse made by 23 former residents at St Joseph's Industrial School in Salthill, Galway, is to be extended to allow interviews with all available former staff at the Christian Brothers institution. The school closed 14 years ago.
According to gardai, those against whom allegations have been made have been suspended where they were working with children, pending the outcome of the investigation.
