A garda has settled his High Court action, brought after he was moved from his job as a ministerial driver. The settlement is confidential but it includes a statement read to the court that Garda Liam Farrell has an unblemished record and no adverse finding has been made against him.
Garda Farrell (51) claimed he was transferred out of the transport section over what he claims was a false allegation by his wife that he had put his official revolver to his mouth during a dispute with her 12 years ago.
