Drugs valued at nearly €200,000 have been seized by gardai in a number of separate searches overnight.
The Drugs Unit in Henry Street, Limerick, seized one kilo of cocaine and seven kilos of cannabis with an estimated street value of €120,000 following the search of a vehicle in the Moyross area of the city.
One man in his early thirties is being questioned at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act in connection with the find.
And in a combined operation between Arklow Gardai, the Drugs Unit and Detectives from Bray Garda Station a house in Bray was searched and 4,500 ecstasy tablets, a quantity of cocaine and cannabis seized. Two men in their early twenties are being detained in Bray Garda Station.
Gardai from the Donegal Drugs unit seized ecstasy with an estimated street value of €12,000 euro approx after the search of a house in the Letterkenny area.
One man in his twenties is being detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act in Letterkenny Garda Station.
