Gardaí in Ballymun, Co Dublin, made a seizure of heroin last night.
Uniformed gardaí were manning a checkpoint on Balbutcher Lane shortly after 9pm when they stopped a car.
This car and driver were taken to Ballymun Garda Station where a search took place, and an estimated €70,000 worth of heroin was found. Some cash and a weighing scales were also seized.
A 21-year-old man was arrested and is being held at Ballymun Garda station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
