Gardaí seek stolen truck in Co Cork

Gardaí are appealing for the public's assistance in tracking down a truck which was stolen in Co Cork this morning.

Gardaí are appealing for the public's assistance in tracking down a truck which was stolen in Co Cork this morning.

A gang broke into a business compound at Currymount, Buttevant at about 6.15am and loaded containers off a truck that was on the premises. They then replaced these with aluminium frames that they drove away with.

The truck taken in the burglary is described as being "very distinctive"

It is a white Mercedes open lorry, registration 96LK1608. 'Leisure Domes Ltd' is writtin across the front of it.

Gardai believe the truck may still be local in the Cork area but may also have travelled to Limerick, Kerry or Tipperary.
