Gardaí in Cabinteely have released without charge a man (60) held over the death of a woman in Ballybrack, Co Dublin, on Friday.
A file will now be prepared for the DPP.
Gardaí were called to a house in the Willowvale area shortly after 7.30pm on Friday in response to a domestic incident. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.
The man was arrested at the scene and was held at Dún Laoghaire Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
