Gardaí are investigating a fatal crash in Co Galway in which an elderly pedestrian was killed.
The accident happened in the Gaeltacht area of Aille, Inverin at around 6pm yesterday.
The victim, who was 72 years-old was stuck by a van. She was taken to University College Hospital Galway where she later died.
