Gardaí in Swords are investigating what they say is "a serious stabbing incident" yesterday evening.
At around 6.45 p.m, a man (55) was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is described as stable, after the incident at a house on Rivervalley Road.
Gardaí say they are following "a definite line of inquiry".
