Gardai in Galway were last night trying to identify the body of a young man which was discovered at an ESB substation in the city early yesterday morning.
An automated ESB alarm system was triggered shortly before 3 a.m., and an ESB employee discovered the body when he went to investigate. It is believed the man was electrocuted by 110,000 volts.
The body of the man, who was in his 20s, was taken to University College Hospital. Gardai were still attempting to identify him last night. He was wearing dark runners, a black Adidas jumper, a grey Fila T-shirt and blue jeans.
