Edinburgh - For the first time in more than 600 years the Gaelic language was heard in a Scottish Parliament yesterday. The packed public galleries in Edinburgh applauded as the Gaelic Minister, Mr Alasdair Morrison, got to his feet to open the debate and to welcome the opportunity for the first discussion in the language in the new parliament since devolution a year ago.
