Paris - France yesterday lifted a 10-day ban on four canned Coca-Cola products, telling consumers they were safe to drink. Finance Minister Mr Dominique Strauss-Kahn announced the decision after the country's Food Health Safety Agency, AFSSA, said it saw no reason to maintain the June 15th ban on CocaCola, Diet Coke, Fanta and Sprite cans produced in the Channel port of Dunkirk. Hundreds of people had complained of illness after drinking canned Coke but two tests proved negative and the government then called in the AFSSA.
