Four people remain in custody in connection with the fatal stabbing of William Stokes (48) in Tipperary on Friday.
A male in his 20s and a woman in her 40s were arrested yesterday morning in Waterford and were taken to Tipperary Garda Station for questioning. The male was released this morning without charge.
Another woman in her 20s was arrested later in the day and is also being questioned at Tipperary Garda Station.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 30s are being questioned at Cahir Garda Station.
Stokes was attacked at about 6pm while sitting in his van which was parked outside a shop at the junction of Kickham Place and Abbey Street.
He drove away and got a short distance before his van stopped at the junction of Bridge Street and Main Street. It is still not clear how many people were involved in the attack.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood that the man lived locally. A post mortem was carried out yesterday but gardaí have declined to release the results.
