FOUR GARDAÍ in Cork were hospitalised for minor injuries after a collision involving two Garda vehicles in the city early yesterday.
The crash, which involved a Garda van and a patrol car, took place on the Boreenmanna Road close to the junction with the South City Link dual carriageway at 1.30am.

“Three gardaí were released straight away while the fourth was kept in for observation overnight as a precautionary measure but was released later.”
A technical examination of the scene was carried out yesterday morning.
The office of the Garda Ombudsman has also been informed about the crash.
Traffic diversions were put in place to allow for the technical examination of the scene of the collision.
