Four men are to appear in court today over an incident involving a shotgun at a bar on the outskirts of Cork city on Monday evening.
The men were detained after two of them entered the White Horse bar in Ballincollig at around 8.45 pm and allegedly threatened a customer with a shotgun.
The men then escaped in a car with two others. Gardai had been alerted to the incident and a patrol car in the area gave chase.
A second Garda car gave assistance and the men were apprehended near the Ballincollig Bypass.

All four were arrested and a two shotguns were recovered.
It is understood local gardai regard the incident as being part of feud between rival drug gangs in the city.
