Gardaí have ruled out foul play in the death of a 51-year-old woman in Waterford city.

The victim’s body was discovered in an upstairs bedroom of a house on Closegate Street at 1am yesterday.

A postmortem examination by State Pathologist Marie Cassidy indicated no signs of foul play.

The house had been sealed off for several hours for a forensic examination by experts from the Garda Technical Bureau.
