Suva - Supporters of rebels holding Fiji's elected Prime Minister and 26 others at gunpoint cut electricity and water supplies to much of the country yesterday, defying the army's latest attempt to force an end to the country's political crisis.
Fiji's electricity authority chief executive, Mr Nizam-uddean, said the water supply to the main Monosavu power station had been cut off by indigenous Fijians who own the land on which it is built.
