A retired teacher appeared in court in Co Sligo yesterday on 104 charges of indecent assault, writes Theresa Judge.
The offences, which are alleged to have taken place in a primary school in the county, occurred over a five-year period from 1972 to 1977.
Three former teachers at the school have appeared in court on indecent assault charges. One of them was accused on Thursday of 61 charges of indecent assault.
The fourth man, who appeared in court yesterday, is aged 71. Judge Oliver McGuinness remanded him on bail to appear at Sligo court on October 4th.
