A former Bohemians fitness coach who was sacked in the middle of his two-year contract has settled his breach of contract claim against the club.

Circuit Court president Mr Justice Matthew Deery was told yesterday that John Daffy had settled the €38,000 claim for an undisclosed sum.

Mr Daffy, Strandhill, Sligo, was employed as fitness coach from January 2007 until November 2007 at an annual gross salary of €38,000 and with participation in a club bonus scheme. He alleged his contract was terminated without lawful cause.

The Circuit Civil Court adjourned until the end of January to facilitate settlement details.
