Eleven killed as bus plunges into Turkish river


Eleven people were killed and about 20 others injured today when a bus plunged into a river in central Turkey, Anatolia news agency reported.

The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle after it slid on an icy bridge over the Kizilirmak River, in Yozgat province.

A rescue operation was underway at the site of the accident, Anatolia said.
