Next Monday at the Crosshaven Yacht Club in Cork, the famed Coveney-family crew will meet students and talk to them about their adventures aboard the Golden Apple, which they've sailed around the world raising money and awareness for Adi Roche's Chernobyl Children's Project. They plan to give a talk and show slides of their 26,000-mile voyage to young people, many of whom have been following their adventures on the web and sending them emails.
Schools that want to attend should contact Mimi Doran, project manager (tel: (01) 278 5000 or (086) 849 9252). The Sail Chernobyl Schools Day, from 12 noon to 3 p.m., is also an opportunity to visit the boat itself.
