AER Lingus pilots are to meet this evening in Malahide, Co Dublin, to consider pay proposals to resolve their long running dispute, writes Padraig Yeates, Industry and Employment Correspondent. The meeting is expected to agree to a ballot, which will be concluded next week.
An independent arbitrator, former ICTU president Mr Phil Flynn, has recommended a rise worth about 7 per cent. He is proposing radical restructuring of pay scales and more flexibility in work practices to help fund the increases.
