The sixth Festival of Youth Orchestras takes place on Saturday, February 17th, in the National Concert Hall. Presented by the IAYO (Irish Association of Youth Orchestras), it will feature youth orchestras from Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Dundalk/ Newry and Co Down. The young musicians will perform a wide selection of works by the likes of Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Rimsky Korsakov, John Williams, Lennon & McCartney and Strauss. Performances begin at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
