The father of a California high-school boy who shot two schoolmates dead and wounded 13 others says his son was tormented by bullies. Charles "Jeff" Williams told a TV interview that he didn't know why his 15-year-old son, Charles "Andy" Williams, had committed the killings. "I've asked, and he doesn't answer. He just looked down and shook his head." Last week's interview was the first he has granted since the March 5th shooting.
"They ... would beat him up ... would turn their cigarette lighters on, get them hot, and they would just surround him and press them on his skin and burn him," the father said.
Prosecutors are prepared to dispute the bullying allegation when the case comes to trial.
