A Dublin hotel has won the Powers World Irish Coffee making championship for the second successive year.

A Dublin hotel has won the Powers World Irish Coffee making championship for the second successive year.

The title at the Foynes Irish Coffee Festival at the weekend went to the Leinster champion, Mr Martin Meade, a restaurant manager at the Port marnock Hotel.

Last year the title was won by Mr Glen Graham at the same hotel.

Guest of honour and veteran actress, Ms Maureen O'Hara-Blair, presented the winner with a cheque for £1,000 and a Shannon Crystal trophy.
