Scotland's Scott Drummond ensured home favourite Retief Goosen didn't have things all his own way at the Data Dimension Pro-Am in South Africa today as both share the lead in Sun City.

At the close of play yesterday evening, Drummond led on 11-under at the Lost City venue and Goosen led with the same score at the Gary Player Country Club course. The same chief protagonists will go into tomorrow's final round sharing the lead on 14-under as the weekend qualifiers merged to complete the event over the Gary Player course.

In true symmetry Goosen and Drummond both shot 69's to command a two shot cushion from Jaco Van Zyl in second. The South African's eight-under 64, which included an eagle three at the 11th and only one dropped shot at the 15th, was the low round of the day.

Goosen was quick off-the mark with four birdies on the front nine and looked sure to go on and set the target, however, bogeys at the 13th and 16th halted his run.

The highlight of Drummond's round was an eagle three at the fifth yet with almost as many bogeys as birdies on the card the Challenge Tour player was unable to forge ahead.

Ireland's Paddy Gribben is still very much in contention at nine-under but it was not all plain sailing during today's 71. The 1998 European Amateur Champion opened with three birdies then immediately surrendered his advantage with three bogeys.

From there the 33-year-old re-grouped to return in one-under and joins South African duo, Desvonde Botes (72) and Tjaart van der Walt (71), tied for sixth.

Darren Clarke put together a solid round for his second consecutive 68. The world number 12 is seven-under and as many shots adrift of the leading pair. It will be a mammoth task for the 33-year-old to successfully defend his title.

Elsewhere, Paul McGinley and Peter Lawrie could find themselves playing in the same group tomorrow. Both shot three-under 69's to finish on two-under. While Lawrie signed-off with a birdie at the 18th his fellow Dubliner went one better with an eagle.
