Former Roscommon player Frankie Dolan could be set for a lengthy ban after being summoned to a meeting tonight of the Connacht Council Games Administration Committee.
The St Brigid's player has been requested to appear before the provincial GAC arising out of an incident during his club's first Connacht final win, over Corofin at Hyde Park, last Sunday week.
Corofin chairman Jimmy Sice has also been asked to appear before the GAC.
Sice, who was one of his side's designated water-carriers at the final, entered the field to attend to his son Gary who had been injured.
Television footage shows Dolan and Sice involved in an altercation.
A last-gasp goal from Karol Mannion captured a first Connacht title for the south Roscommon side, who will be hoping that Dolan, one of their key men, will be available as they try to advance in the All-Ireland club championship.
Tonight's meeting will take place in Ballyhaunis at the Connacht Council headquarters.
