A County Derry family, including three children aged six, four and 18-months escaped injury following a pipe-bomb attack on their home last night.

The pipe bomb landed in the family's garden in Magherafelt, County Derry.

British army bomb disposal experts examined the remains of the bomb this morning.

The parents and three children were not injured, but two windows, a gardenshed and the backdoor of the house were damaged.
