Gardaí in Dungloe, Co Donegal, said last night that they were not treating the discovery of a body in a car as suspicious.
The body of a man was located in a car-park off the main street around lunchtime. He was identified last night as Mr Neil Durning (45), single, from Croveigh, near Dungloe.
Meanwhile, gardaí have intensified the search for a local man who has been missing from the Dungloe area for more than two weeks.
Mr James Curran (64) has not been seen since July 16th.
Sub-aqua divers from Sheep Haven and a local rescue unit helped gardaí yesterday as they searched the area near Mr Curran's home. A lake just yards from his back door and a nearby river were also being searched last night.
Gardaí have confirmed that Mr Curran, who lived alone, suffered from depression. He is described as five feet six inches with dark brown hair.
He normally wore a baseball cap while around the town.
Sgt David Kelly last night issued an appeal for the assistance of the public in finding the missing man.
"We're concentrating the search in the greater Dungloe area at present and would appeal to anyone who may have seen him recently to contact us," he said.
