Leinster wing Gordon D'Arcy has been called into the Ireland squad for Sunday's international Test against Fiji at Lansdowne Road.

D'Arcy (22), who won his only Irish cap to date in the 1999 World Cup, replaces Munster back John Kelly, who was injured in Saturday's historic win over Australia after coming on as a replacement for the injured Denis Hickie at half-time in the 18-9 victory.

Kelly is to have a scan today to assess the damage to his injured leg.

Coach Eddie O'Sullivan has a squad of just 22 for this middle fixture of the autumn internationals.

Stand-in captain against Australia Brian O'Driscoll and fellow backs Hickie and Girvan Dempsey have been rested ahead of the Argentina clash on November 23rd alongside forwards Reggie Corrigan, Gary Longwell, Malcolm O'Kelly, Victor Costello and Keith Gleeson, who all started against the Wallabies.

O'Sullivan will also be without 12 players through injury, including Keith Wood, when the team to face the Fijians is named in Wednesday.

Wood, who played the full 80 minutes for club Harlequins at the weekend, is expected to be fit when Ireland tackle the Pumas.
