The Tánaiste and Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald has said there should be a referendum on abortion next year.

Yesterday, Ms Fitzgerald described the outcome of the Citizens’ Assembly’s deliberations on the Eighth Amendment, which bans abortion, as “very interesting”.
