Gardaí seek witnesses to house party shooting in Newbridge

Gardaí are seeking witnesses to a shooting at a New Year’s Eve house party in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

A man aged in his late teens was injured when he was struck by what is believed to have been a shotgun blast. At least one shot was heard coming from the house at Dara Park, in Piercetown.

Gardaí are keen to speak to a man seen leaving the area in a small car. He was in a black tracksuit, around 5’9” tall and spoke with a Dublin accent. Anyone with information should contact gardaí on 045-431212 or the Confidential line at 1800 666111.
