Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Swords assault

Gardaí in Swords are appealing for witnesses after a man and two women were assaulted in the town on Saturday evening.

The trio were walking in Town Park near Swords Castle at around 8.45pm when their camera bag was stolen by a group of youths.

During the robbery, the man and one of the women were assaulted. The man was brought to Beaumont Hospital with a shoulder injury. The woman did not require hospitalisation.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnesses the incident or anyone who was in Town Park between 6pm and 8.45pm on Saturday to contact Swords Garda Station on 01 6664700, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
