A 70 year old woman died of multiple injuries after the car in which she was travelling was hit by a stolen car, an inquest was told yesterday.

Ms Teresa McGrath, of Raheny Road, Raheny, Dublin, and her husband were driving into the driveway of their home on March 24th after walking their dog on Dollymount Strand, when the incident occurred.

Insp Eugene Duff, of Store Street Garda station, sought an adjournment of the inquest on her death yesterday as criminal proceedings were still being considered. The City Coroner, Dr Brian Farrell, agreed to adjourn the case to October 16th.
