Dundee - A man and a woman were in a critical condition last night after a parcel bomb exploded at their home in Dundee, Tayside police said.
The couple were taken to Dundee Royal Infirmary after the explosion at their Lammerton Terrace home. Police were unable to confirm reports that the man was a retired police chief inspector now working as a private detective.
The package is understood to have been one of three handed in at a delivery company depot in Thetford, Norfolk. Bomb disposal experts were said to have been called to the depot to make the two other packages safe.
