A 50-year-old postmistress chased two men away this morning as they attemped to rob her post office in Cork.
The two men were outside the post office in Gurranabraher at 8.30, when the woman arrived to open up. As she went in, one of the men pushed the door in after her.
However, she fended the man off and chased him from the premises.
The postmistress suffered minor injuries and was treated in Cork University Hospital.
